Maths Day

Maths Day was a fantastic success, with every class excited and fully engaged in a day celebrating all things mathematical. The children showcased wonderful creativity through their mathematical costumes across all year groups.
Activities ranged from exploring structures and art in EYFS to board games, card games and tessellations inspired by M.C. Escher. Pupils also enjoyed building geodesic domes and learning about their use in architecture.
We were delighted to be supported by 12 students from Our Lady’s Catholic College, along with their Head of Maths, Mr Ip. We also extend our thanks to Ana Rute Costa, Professor of Sustainable Architecture at Lancaster University, for kindly lending the geodesic domes.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the day—and, of course, to the children for their enthusiasm. It truly was a “mathemagical” day!
