Year 2 have done lots of exciting activities to celebrate World Book Day this year. We were inspired by our class storybook ‘Rosie Revere’ and made our own inventions out of junk modelling. Then we joined Year 1 in the playground and garden to do a quiz ‘treasure hunt style’.
After lunch we got to listen to and join in with an amazing storyteller before heading back to class to experiment on different materials so that we could help our pirate teacher build her ship and tools for a journey on the high seas. We’re all hoping that our suggestions will have the best scientific reasoning so that we can be chosen as the ship’s first mate!
