Year 6 have just started a new English unit on The Boy in the Tower by Polly Ho-Yen.
Today they answered questions on what they know already from the text. They also had lots of questions: How did the Bluchers get to Earth? Why did the Bluchers come? What happened to Ade’s dad? How do they escape? Who is Gaia and where did she go? Do the Bluchers kill people?
The children are going to write newspaper reports, formal letters, non-chronological reports and stories.
