On Tuesday 3rd May, Year 4 enjoyed a wonderful visit to the Lancaster City Museum to meet a Roman soldier and see the museum’s Roman artefacts. During our visit, we were taught many Roman words, we were able to hold items, learn about a soldier’s weapons and armour and we unpacked a soldier’s backpack to see what items they would have carried. The children loved viewing the museum’s artefacts and seeing evidence that the Romans were in Lancaster.
