In History this week, Oak class investigated why people in London in 1666 didn’t just call the fire brigade to put out the Great Fire of London. We discovered that they didn’t have any firefighters and the equipment they did have was nowhere near as good as the equipment firefighters use today. We think that this might be one of the reasons that the fire spread so far and so quickly.
