AN OVERVIEW OF

OUR VALUES

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..”, comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.

Illness, Sickness & Diarrhoea

The Warrington Guidelines for Infection Control and Communicable Disease advise us to exclude pupils who have symptoms of diarrhoea and/or sickness from school until they are symptom free for 48 hours. If they return to school too soon, they are often not fit to be here and are likely to pass the illness on to someone else.

For other illnesses/infections, please refer to the attached document:

Dan The Skipping Man

Dan The Skipping Man

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we look for new ways for our pupils to stay active and improve mental and physical well-being, we have recently ordered a skipping rope for each pupil (#RopestopupilsChristmas) from Dan the Skipping Man.

This is a gift to say a big thank you for their hard work this year.

Your child will be receiving their skipping rope very shortly, if they have not already.

The aim is for the skipping ropes to be used alongside the video resources online from Dan the Skipping Man.

After the Christmas break we would like the children to bring the skipping ropes back to school, so they can be kept within their class bubble. They will be used in PE lessons and break times when they are permitted to carry on with this great initiative.

Guidance for new inspiration and ideas see our website (website Link)

Here is your welcome video to give your children some inspiration: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WUxZOLgaqJS3VVJxHRNKNl0UXEj1Bocd/view?usp=sharing

Please encourage your children to try these new skills, tricks and challenges, to stay healthy and most of all have fun!

Merry Christmas and Happy Skipping!
