Over 100 years ago, early photomontage artist Hannah Höch was making some of the first photomontages. Some of her work is humorous, some of it is more serious.
She was an artist in the Dada movement, art, poetry and performance produced by dada artists is often nonsensical.
Hannah took images from books and publications and postcards, cutting out the main shapes, so that she had a collection of smaller images and then re-arranging them onto a piece of paper, moving them around until she created an image she liked, before sticking them down.
Year 6 have taken inspiration from Hannah Hoch and used comics to do their own montages.
